THE NUMBER OF TRANSITIONAL HOMES IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY
A feasibility study revealed the need for approximately 4 more transitional homes in Prince George's County to accomodate the current need. It was further revealed that the county does not have the money to cover the cost for undertaking such a project. Therefore, the federal government and the community must step up to ensure that these needs are met.
As much as we would like to think that we are trying to diminish the market for this type of housing; it is crucial for us to understand that drastic life changes can create the need for transitional housing. Unfortunately, the market is growing faster than we can get facilities up and running to offer assistance to those in need.
THE PROJECT
Phenomenal Women - Gifts of God is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization designed to nurture, assist, and instruct women who want to transition from a lifestyle of hopelessness and misdirection to one of productivity and self-sufficiency within their communities.
Our mission is to help those women, who have been battered by the storms of life by providing housing, skills training, and counseling in a Christian environment.
Our programs are designed to nurture the total woman. The women who become residents of Phenomenal Women - Gifts of God will be helped physically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually.
